Meet Diane Galbraith
I am a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW. I completed my BA in Psychology in 2006 but quickly discovered that my passion was in Social Work. From 2010 – 2016 I completed my BSW and MSW while beginning my family, and that experience, combined with the numerous opportunities I have had to work with diverse individuals with diverse concerns, led me to open my practice in 2016. Since that time, I have continued to pursue studies to expand the breadth and depth of my practice.
I believe in fostering a positive therapeutic relationship to aid you in achieving your goals for therapy. I strive to provide therapy based on collaboration, bringing in my professional skills and experience together with your personal expertise, in order to create the best opportunity to promote change.

I am a graduate from the Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work (Honors) Programs, King’s University College at Western University; as well I hold a Social Service Work Diploma from Fanshawe College. I am also a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
The desire to pursue a career in social work began in my early years and continued to resonate well into my adult years. I first attended Fanshawe College, graduating with a Social Service Worker Diploma and from there began working in the field of violence against women. This experience further solidified my passion for counselling and social work, and as a result, I pursued higher level education, expanding my clinical knowledge, skills and abilities.
In counselling, I utilize a trauma informed, strengths based and person-centered approach. I strive to create an environment that will allow clients to silence the internalized voices within and hear their own wisdom instead. I believe each person holds the capacity to create and live a fulfilling life, and I strive to help awaken this potential. To learn more about my approach to therapy, please click here.
