How EMDR Therapy Can Help You
EMDR therapy is a common practice where a psychotherapist will work 1-on-1 with you and use techniques to identify what is causing your trauma.
If you are someone who’s past is causing them to get angry, depressed, stressed or anxious this is a sign that past trauma may be affecting your present life, and EMDR can help.
EMDR therapy was originally developed my psychologists as a way to help release traumatic memories through eye movements.
Although an unusual practice, EMDR is an evidence based treatment, which means it has been proven to be effective as a treatment of trauma and many other mental health problems.
To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.

What Symptoms Does EMDR Treat?
The symptoms EMDR has been shown to treat are feeling socially anxious in public environments, walking around with more confidence and less fear from your past trauma, and many other negative symptoms seen from trauma.
What Are The Benefits Of EMDR Therapy?
EMDR allows us to process trauma memories in order to facilitate healing. It does not change the memories, but allows people to bring up the memory without experiencing the emotional distress that is present in unprocessed trauma.
As a trauma processing therapy, EMDR, when appropriate, facilitates healing without the need to talk about all the details, making it easier for people to engage in.
